Tateossian, a global wholesaler and retailer for luxury goods, celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year, has an immediate vacancy for an experienced, professional, well rounded Finance Assistant to join their very busy Finance Team in their head office in Chelsea, London.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who can hit the ground running, using their sound experience from a similar, varied role in a small accounts office.  Demonstrating excellence and accuracy in all you do is a must, as is an unflappable personality, who can deliver when the pressure is on. 

Responsibilities and duties

  • Accurately updating and maintaining Company’s cash book
  • Posting and allocating receipts from wholesale, web and retail customers using Company’s bespoke accounting software
  • Invoicing wholesale customers for stock sold on consignment basis
  • Resolving customer queries through effective communication, written and oral; customer accounts’ reconciliation and credit control
  • Posting purchase invoices and credit notes
  • Processing payments and refunds
  • Resolving invoice queries and creditors’ accounts reconciliation
  • Processing Sales Commission for specific job roles and external agents
  • Processing royalty reports
  • Supporting Head of Finance with month end reporting
  • Assisting with audits for several companies
  • Effectively communicating with retail stores to resolve ad-hoc issues and monitor and process the expenses from all London boutiques
  • Communicating effectively with all other departments to meet deadlines
  • Ad-hoc admin tasks such as photocopying, filing etc…

Essential skills and Experience

  • Minimum of five years UK experience as Finance Assistant in a small in house Accounts Team
  • Accounting qualifications, AAT (Level 4), working towards ACCA or CIMA or similar University Degree with practical experience in the UK
  • First class numeracy skills and accurate data entry
  • Processing high volume of transactions in a timely manner
  • Experience with dropship accounts and market places portals
  • Experience with various web platforms - Shopify, Klarna, PayPal, etc
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactively supporting Head of Finance with end of month reporting and audits
  • Good Excel Skills
  • Excellent in English, verbal and written communication
