Fossilised red oak wood is hand-carved and set within and engraved square case with black enamel detailing, replicating the natural texture of wood. Fossilisation occurs when a red oak tree transitions to stone during the permineralization process, over the course of a few million years. The colour and natural formation of our organic materials differs from one another due to natural variation, making each piece truly one of a kind.
